Fencing was widely spread during the Roman history and it was very much part of the Arabic culture and heritage. Fencing has been often used in the Arabian poetry and literature.

The modern fencing sport with its modern custom, face cover and different types of swords has got its rules at the end of the nineteenth century, and it was made official Olympic game year 1912. Many countries took serious steps towards developing this game and established many clubs and training centers. In the Arabic world, many countries like KSA, Egypt, Jordan and Kuwait took similar steps towards developing this game and presented many international champions.
